Russia and Azerbaijan reach agreement on follow-up issues related to Aktau plane crash

On April 15th local time, the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs released a statement that Russia and Azerbaijan Foreign Ministries issued a joint declaration that day, based on the consensus reached by the presidents of Russia and Azerbaijan during their meeting on October 9, 2025 in Dushanbe, Tajikistan. Both parties reached a formal resolution on the consequences of the crash of an Azerbaijan Airlines plane near Aktau City, Kazakhstan on December 25th, 2024.
