In the first quarter, the GDP of Hainan Province increased by 3.8% year-on-year.

The Hainan Statistical Bureau released data showing that the gross regional product (GRP) of Hainan Province in the first quarter was 1979.94 billion yuan, with a 3.8% year-on-year increase calculated at constant prices. By sector, the value added of the primary industry was 392.48 billion yuan, a 3.9% increase; the value added of the secondary industry was 295.86 billion yuan, a 2.2% increase; and the value added of the tertiary industry was 1291.61 billion yuan, a 4.1% increase.
