On March 23, Shu Wei, Deputy Director of the State Administration for Market Regulation, met with the CEO of the American Cohen Group, Robert Thiel, and the Global CEO of Amway, Michael Nielsen in Beijing. Both sides exchanged views on promoting the construction of a unified national market and fair competition. Shu Wei stated that the Market Supervision Administration is implementing the decision to further expand high-level opening-up in the "15th Five-Year Plan", deeply promoting the construction of a unified national market, and creating a good business environment for enterprises from countries including the United States to develop in China. He hoped that the American business community would contribute to the stable development of Sino-US economic and trade relations. Enterprise representatives stated that they would operate in compliance with regulations, deepen their presence in the Chinese market, and play a constructive role in Sino-US economic and trade cooperation.
