Conrad will assume the position of CEO of BHP Billiton.
On March 18, BHP's board of directors announced that Mike Henry will officially take over as the CEO and executive director of BHP from July 1, replacing the current CEO Andrew Mackenzie who will step down on June 30. Henry has over 25 years of experience in operations and corporate management at BHP. Currently, he serves as the president of BHP Americas, overseeing the group's future growth strategies in Canada, the United States, and South America. During his tenure, BHP became the world's largest copper producer and advanced a series of high-quality growth projects in the copper and potash sectors. Prior to this, he was responsible for the company's iron ore business in Western Australia.
