The Sri Lankan stock market index plunged by 4.6%, hitting its lowest level since September last year.

The Colombo Stock Index in Sri Lanka has fallen for the fourth consecutive trading day, with a decline of as much as 4.6%. The Sri Lankan Rupee has weakened for the third consecutive day; the US Dollar has risen by 0.1% against the Sri Lankan Rupee, reaching 311.15.
