On the afternoon of March 7th, Zheng Bei, Deputy Director of the National Development and Reform Commission, said at a press conference at the State Council Information Office that the main indicators are the key traction for the implementation of the "Fifteen-Five" plan, involving 5 aspects and 20 key indicators. The setting of indicators adheres to the combination of long-term and short-term, sticking to principles while innovating, balancing and coordinating, and being precise and effective, aiming to achieve the goal of basically realizing socialist modernization by 2030 and building a modernized and powerful China by the mid-century. The draft outline of the "Fifteen-Five" plan sets GDP growth to be maintained in a reasonable range, with adjustments each year based on the situation. This indicator target setting adopts standardized expressions with quantitative requirements. It is consistent with the economic growth goal suggested by the Party Central Committee and continues the same direction as the "Fourteen-Five" plan, fully reflecting a clear orientation towards promoting high-quality development, guiding all parties to pursue substantial growth, leaving room for transitioning modes, adjusting structures, and promoting reforms, while providing support for increasing employment and income for residents.
