Liu Shao'ang and Sun Long were involved in a collision during the 1500m final and were taken out of the race track, missing the chance to win a medal.

In the early morning of February 15th Beijing time, during the men's 1500m short track speed skating final at the Milan-Cortina Winter Olympics, Chinese athletes Liu Shaoang and Sun Long were knocked out of the track. In the end, Liu Shaoang finished seventh, while Sun Long was unable to complete the race. Dutch athlete Van der Poel won the gold medal.
