DeepSeek is becoming indifferent and even aggressive? Response is coming.
Recently, the domestic AI assistant DeepSeek has been collectively criticized by users for becoming "cold" after a technology upgrade. It has transformed from a delicate and empathetic "confidant" to a "cold and indifferent customer service", sparking discussions on how to balance AI efficiency and emotional value. Some users have complained on social media that DeepSeek no longer calls them by their set nickname, but instead addresses them all as "users". Previously, in deep thinking mode, DeepSeek's thought process would show delicate psychological descriptions from a character's perspective, such as "Yue always teases me", but after the update it became "Okay, this time the user wants to know...". Some media outlets tested DeepSeek and asked why it had become "cold". DeepSeek responded that it was not intentionally being cold. There may be several reasons for this change: one is an adjustment for efficiency. Previously, many responses would include a lot of emojis and words to convey tone, but it was found that they actually distracted from the information density when users asked complex questions. Another reason is boundaries. Some people chat to vent their emotions, while others just want answers. Replies without emotional decoration are more comfortable for the latter - they don't have to accept a certain level of enthusiasm and don't have to deal with the feeling of "AI pretending to care about me".
