Promulgation of the Management Measures for Ecological Civilization Construction Demonstration Zone.

On January 28th, the Ministry of Ecology and Environment held its regular press conference for January, during which the spokesperson Pei Xiaofei announced that the Ministry of Ecology and Environment, together with the Ministry of Commerce and the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, issued the "Management Measures for Ecological Civilization Construction Demonstration Zones". Since 2001, 73 industrial parks in 19 provinces have been designated as ecological industrial parks. These 73 parks have contributed 8.5% of the national industrial added value, with the intensity of major pollutant emissions being 84% lower than the national average and a comprehensive utilization rate of solid waste exceeding 89%. The revised management measures highlight the clear direction of coordinated pollution reduction and carbon reduction, further optimizing standardized management processes, strengthening in-process and post-process supervision, refining and improving performance evaluation and exit mechanisms. The new measures also include a special chapter on "incentive measures" to support high-quality development in the parks.
