According to five anonymous sources cited by the Financial Times, Elon Musk proposed setting the initial public offering (IPO) date for his space exploration technology company in June, to coincide with a planetary alignment event and his birthday. The sources said that since mid-December last year, SpaceX's chief financial officer, Brett Johnson, has been holding discussions and video conferences with existing private investors to explore progressing with the IPO in mid-2026. SpaceX has not responded to requests for comment.
