Heavy rains in various parts of Tunisia have caused four deaths.
According to the Tunisian news agency, on the evening of the 19th to the 20th, Tunisia experienced severe thunderstorms in many areas, causing heavy rainfall and triggering floods that have resulted in 4 deaths. Information released by the Tunisian National Institute of Meteorology on the 20th shows that rainfall in many parts of Tunisia reached 200 millimeters within 24 hours, with Monastir Province receiving 230 millimeters of rainfall, and some areas expected to receive over 300 millimeters within 48 hours. The severe weather has caused the closure of multiple roads nationwide in Tunisia, and the alert level in several provinces has been raised to the highest level. The Tunisian Ministry of Education announced on the 20th that all public and private schools in 15 provinces will be closed on the 21st. Tunisian President Saied has instructed the military to participate in disaster relief efforts nationwide.
