On January 16, Zhao Zenglian, Deputy Commissioner of the General Administration of Customs, met with a delegation led by UAE Ambassador to China, Hussein Bin Ibrahim Al-Hamadi. To implement the strategic consensus of the leaders of the two countries at a high level, the two sides agreed to deepen cooperation in mechanisms such as customs administrative assistance in investigation, international trade "single window", mutual recognition of Authorized Economic Operator (AEO) and food safety cooperation. They also exchanged views on strengthening cooperation within multilateral frameworks such as APEC, WCO, and jointly conducting discussions on topics such as the "Smart Customs" partnership program.
