Google launches open-source medical model MedGemma 1.5 4B version.

On January 13th, local time, Google announced an update to the MedGemma model, improving its support for medical imaging. Compared to the MedGemma 1.4B version, the new 1.5 4B parameter model has significantly improved accuracy in text processing, medical record handling, and core capabilities for two-dimensional imaging. The model is small enough to run offline, and developers can continue to use the MedGemma 1.27B parameter model to handle more complex text applications.
