Citi: Qualcomm (QCOM.US) or Intel (INTC.US) is currently evaluating the outsourcing of its data center ASIC production.

According to the financial news APP, Citigroup has analyzed the recruitment information of Qualcomm (QCOM.US) and suggests that Qualcomm may be evaluating Intel (INTC.US) to outsource its data center Application-Specific Integrated Circuit (ASIC) business. These job postings are all looking for candidates with qualifications in Intel's embedded multi-chip interconnect bridge packaging technology. Citigroup also points out that Apple (AAPL.US) and Broadcom (AVGO.US) have similar job postings. Citigroup analysts suggest that these companies may be trying to comply with the requirements of the US CHIPs for America Act by using Intel's manufacturing services, which aims to increase domestic semiconductor production in the United States.
