Colombia foils a failed attack on military facilities.
On the early morning of November 8th local time, a truck with a homemade rocket launcher-type explosive device was found in Tunja, the capital of Boyac province in central Colombia, suspected to be used for launching "Tatukos" rocket projectiles. The military immediately carried out controlled detonation of the 24 abandoned explosive devices on the truck, destroying 8 of them. This incident resulted in 3 civilians injured and caused some damage to the Simn Bolvar military base. Colombian President Ivn Duque confirmed that this was an attempted attack targeted at military facilities. He stated on social media platform, "We successfully thwarted the attack on the Simn Bolvar military base in Tunja. Civilians and military personnel were evacuated in time, and there were no casualties." Colombian Defense Minister Pedro Santos announced that the government will offer a reward for any information leading to solving the case.
