The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) in the United States issued a statement on November 4th local time, stating that United Parcel Service (UPS) Flight 2976 crashed around 5:15 PM after taking off from Muhammad Ali International Airport in Louisville, Kentucky. UPS confirmed the crash of the cargo plane and reported that there were 3 crew members on board. The governor of Kentucky stated that at least 3 people were killed and 11 injured. Muhammad Ali International Airport is a global hub for UPS's aviation operations. The mayor of Louisville stated that the plane had 280,000 gallons of fuel onboard at the time of the incident.
