Apple (AAPL.US) is no longer fixated on the high-end PC race. The first "low-cost Mac" equipped with an iPhone chip is about to be released.

According to the financial news app, Chuangjing Finance, Mark Gurman, an Apple product leaker who has accurately revealed iPhone updates in advance multiple times, recently wrote that Apple is preparing to enter the budget laptop market for the first time by developing a low-cost version of the Mac. This move aims to attract customers who prefer low-cost lightweight laptops from competitors such as Chromebook PC and entry-level Windows PC.
