On November 1st, sources revealed that Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu met with a representative of Hamas's political bureau in Istanbul. The sources stated, "The two sides discussed the ceasefire agreement in the Gaza Strip and the humanitarian assistance needs in the region." On October 9th local time, with the mediation of Egypt, Qatar, the United States, and Turkey, Israel and Hamas signed the first phase of the "20-point plan" proposed by U.S. President Trump in Egypt. Insiders say that the ground ceasefire in the Gaza Strip will take effect after the agreement is signed.
