On the afternoon of November 1st local time, in the northwest city of Frankfurt, Germany, there was a shopping center called Northwest City where customers heard at least one loud noise, suspected to be a shooting incident. Many customers fled the mall after the incident, while others were guided by security guards and sales staff to leave through emergency exits. The Northwest City shopping center has been sealed off since the afternoon. The Frankfurt Fire Department posted a message on social media at 5 pm, stating that a "major incident" had occurred at the shopping center: "Please stay away from the area. Once we have more information, we will notify you immediately." The police have not yet provided any information on the cause of the incident. In the afternoon of the 1st, a large number of emergency personnel arrived at the scene, and dozens of police cars filled the roads leading to the shopping center.
