On August 28, the Hong Kong dollar interbank offered rate rose across the board, with the one-month interbank rate related to mortgage loans reporting 2.85000%, an increase of 6.179 basis points; the three-month interbank rate, reflecting the cost of bank funds, reported 3.00875%, up 3.006 basis points. The overnight rate reported 3.42464%, rising by 23.393 basis points; the one-week interbank rate increased by 12.059 basis points to 3.23196%, while the two-week rate rose by 1.517 basis points to 2.93196%. The two-month interbank rate reported 2.94268%, an increase of 3.083 basis points. In terms of long-term rates, the six-month interbank rate remained unchanged at 3.20518%, while the one-year rate rose by 0.566 basis points to 3.50566%.
