Hong Kong has retained its title as Asia's top international city, ranking first in business and economic performance.

The Hong Kong General Chamber of Commerce has announced the "Asia City Internationalization Index," in which Hong Kong has been rated as the top international city in Asia for the second consecutive year among 11 cities. Hong Kong ranks first in business and economy, and has moved up one place to third in innovation and creativity. Chamber chairman Jin Zepai stated that this reflects the government's investment in the Northern Metropolis and technological development, which facilitates knowledge exchange and attracts research talent. The index was launched by the Chamber and compiled by the research firm Ipsos, with 40% of the score based on objective indicators and 60% derived from interviews with 1,111 senior executives. In the comprehensive assessment of seven categories, Hong Kong topped the list with a score of 74.6, an increase of 0.9 points year-on-year. Singapore ranked second again, while Seoul rose one place to third. Benefiting from strong investment flow and business opportunities, Hong Kong continues to rank first in business and economy. In terms of innovation and creativity, Hong Kong has risen one position to third. Jin Zepai mentioned that Hong Kong's investment in the Northern Metropolis and technological development shows improved performance in knowledge exchange and attracting research talent, but innovation investment and the ecosystem are relatively weak. He hopes that the private market will participate more in venture capital and enhance societal acceptance of technology, encouraging companies to introduce innovative solutions. Hong Kong ranks second in human resource diversity. The Chamber suggests that the Hong Kong government, in terms of innovation and creativity, attract overseas R&D talent, strengthen support for startups, and cultivate a more open culture of innovation. In terms of human resource diversity, it advocates promoting multilingual capability, establishing a more diverse international talent pool, and expanding local talent's international perspective and mobility opportunities. As for other categories, Hong Kong ranks second in quality of life and infrastructure connectivity, third in government and business legal systems, and fourth in cultural interaction.
