The Dutch International Group economist Bert Colijn wrote that the Eurozone economy is running well, alleviating concerns about the severe impact of global trade turbulence. Data shows that the economic sentiment index in the Eurozone improved this month after the EU reached a trade agreement with the United States. Colijn stated that this indicates that the market is cautiously optimistic about the future development path. He pointed out that this does not mean that there will be a significant improvement in economic growth, but at least the 20 countries in the Eurozone should be able to maintain their current growth rate in the third quarter. Colijn said, "Given the clearer trade relationship with the United States and decent domestic performance, the reality is that so far, the Eurozone economy has been performing well."
