Total (TTE.US) sells a portion of its equity in North American solar assets to increase the return on green investments.

Zhixin Financial APP learned that Total (TTE.US) has agreed to sell a portion of its equity in North American solar assets to KKR & Co. (KKR.US). The valuation of the entire asset portfolio in this transaction is 12.5 billion US dollars (including debt). The company stated on Monday that its energy business unit will sell half of a 1.4 GW asset portfolio to the American private equity giant. The financing by the banks has been largely completed, and after the transaction is completed, Total will receive 9.5 billion US dollars in funds.
