The Ministry of Industry and Information Technology awarded China Mobile a license to operate satellite mobile communication services.

In accordance with the "Guiding Opinions on Optimizing Business Access to Promote the Development of the Satellite Communication Industry", the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology recently issued a satellite mobile communication business operation license to China Mobile Communications Group Co., Ltd. Currently, following China Telecom, China Mobile and China Unicom, the two basic telecommunications companies in China, have also obtained qualifications for operating satellite mobile communication services, allowing them to legally carry out services such as mobile satellite direct connection and deepen applications in emergency communication, maritime communication, and communication in remote areas, enriching communication services and product offerings. Next, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology will deeply implement the decisions made by the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China and the State Council, coordinate development and security, further optimize market access for satellite communication, strengthen full-chain supervision and security guarantees, promote the high-quality development of China's satellite communication industry, and effectively support the construction of a strong network country, aerospace country, and digital China.
