Xi'an is creating the core carrier area of the national large aircraft industry.

In March of this year, Xi'an issued the "Three-Year Action Plan for the Construction of Large Aircraft Supporting Capacity". It was learned that after years of layout and construction, Xi'an's aviation industry has formed a clustered development pattern with Yanliang District as the core area, radiating throughout Xi'an and driving the development of the entire province. It has established an aviation industry system integrating aircraft design and development, complete aircraft production and manufacturing, research and development of key components, processing and forming of aviation new materials, flight testing, product support, comprehensive support, and education and training, as well as the most complete aviation industry chain in China. Currently, Xi'an has attracted 18 leading enterprises such as AVIC Aircraft and Xi'an Aero Engine, 35 aviation research and related institutions, more than 160 large-scale aviation manufacturing enterprises, and over 1500 aviation supporting enterprises. Many core technologies are leading the nation, and the industry chain covers key links such as design and development, core components, final assembly integration, and maintenance services. In the first 8 months of this year, the output value of the aviation industry supporting reached over 7.5 billion yuan, with a year-on-year growth of over 30%, showing a good trend of accelerated aggregation and improved quality and efficiency.
