On September 29, 2025 at 11:00 Beijing Time, China successfully launched the Experimental Satellite 30-01 and 30-02 into orbit using the Long March-2D carrier rocket at the Xichang Satellite Launch Center. The satellites were smoothly placed into their planned orbit, marking a complete success of the launch mission. The main purpose of this satellite is to conduct technical experiments and verification for Earth observation. This mission was the 598th flight of the Long March series of carrier rockets. The "Gold Medal Rocket" of China, the Long March-2D carrier rocket, successfully completed its 100th launch, making it the second single type of carrier rocket in China to exceed 100 launches and maintaining a perfect record, creating another new record in China's carrier rocket history.
