Macau announces the list of 7 appointed legislators, all the members of the eighth Legislative Assembly have been selected.

The Government Gazette of the Macao Special Administrative Region published an administrative order on the 29th, appointing 7 members of the 8th Legislative Council by the Chief Executive of the SAR, Ho Iat Seng, in accordance with the law. With this, all 33 members of the 8th Legislative Council of the Macao SAR have been appointed. Administrative Order No. 44/2025 published in the Macao SAR Gazette shows that Ho Iat Seng appointed Zhang Yongchun, Li Huanjiang, Gao Jinhu, Zhou Jiajun, Lin Faqin, Huang Jialun, and Gao Ansheng as members of the 8th Legislative Council of the Macao SAR, in accordance with the relevant provisions of the Basic Law of the Macao Special Administrative Region of the People's Republic of China and the Electoral System of the Legislative Council of the Macao Special Administrative Region. The election of the 8th Legislative Council of the Macao SAR was held on the 14th, with preliminary voting results announced in the early hours of the 15th, producing 14 directly elected seats and 12 indirectly elected seats. The final election results were announced on the 16th, with the 14 directly elected seats and 12 indirectly elected seats remaining unchanged. With the appointment of these 7 new members, all 33 members of the 8th Legislative Council have been appointed.
