The Ministry of Foreign Affairs Office in Hong Kong warns the United States to stop smearing Hong Kong with its so-called "investment environment report".

According to the official WeChat account of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Hong Kong, in response to the recent release of the so-called "Annual Investment Climate Report" by the U.S. State Department, which once again smeared the Hong Kong national security law and denigrated the business environment in Hong Kong, a spokesperson for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Hong Kong strongly condemned and firmly opposed it. The spokesperson emphasized that the U.S. has repeatedly politicized and instrumentalized economic and trade issues, exaggerated the so-called risks for foreign businesses operating in Hong Kong, seriously disrupted and undermined normal exchanges and cooperation between Hong Kong and the U.S., and is in fact the disruptor and destroyer of Hong Kong's business environment. China urges the U.S. to truly respect Chinese sovereignty and the rule of law in Hong Kong, lift sanctions on Hong Kong, and stop interfering in Hong Kong affairs and China's internal affairs in any way.
