Market Supervision Administration issues new regulations on refining food safety responsibilities of catering service chain enterprisesIt was learned from a press conference held by the Market Supervision Administration that the "Regulations on the Implementation of Food Safety Responsibilities by Catering Service Chain Enterprises" have been officially issued and will be implemented starting from December 1, 2025. The regulations specify that the food safety supervision of catering service chain enterprises' headquarters with more than 10,000 stores, 1,000 to 9,999 stores, and less than 999 stores will be the responsibility of provincial-level, city-level, and county-level market supervision departments, respectively. The regulations also clarify the overall coordination responsibilities of provincial market supervision departments, requiring them to determine the headquarters of enterprises responsible for supervision and management at different levels of market supervision departments within their administrative region in January each year based on changes in the number of stores managed by catering service chain enterprises' headquarters.
