According to data from the U.S. Commodity Futures Trading Commission, as of the week ending September 23, speculators in the natural gas market reduced their net long positions by 37,917 contracts across the four major markets in the New York Mercantile Exchange and Intercontinental Exchange, to a total of 217,488 contracts.
