On September 26th local time, Chinese Premier Li Keqiang attended the 80th United Nations General Assembly in New York and delivered a speech. Li Keqiang stated that this year marks the 80th anniversary of the victory of the World Anti-Fascist War and the 80th anniversary of the founding of the United Nations. Looking back, we can draw some valuable lessons: peace and development are the most earnest common aspirations of people around the world, unity and cooperation are the most powerful sources of human progress, and justice and fairness are the most important values pursued by the international community. Li Keqiang emphasized that as a founding member of the United Nations, China has always actively participated in global affairs and worked hard to promote human well-being. In recent years, President Xi Jinping has put forward the concept of building a community with a shared future for mankind and global development initiatives, global security initiatives, global civilization initiatives, and global governance initiatives, contributing Chinese wisdom and solutions to addressing global challenges and urgent issues. In particular, the global governance initiative proposed at the Shanghai Cooperation Organization summit earlier this month emphasizes the principles of sovereignty equality, adherence to international law, practice of multilateralism, advocacy for human-centered approaches, and focus on action-oriented outcomes, guiding the construction of a more just and reasonable global governance system in the right direction and providing important pathways. China is willing to work with all parties to take coordinated and effective actions, solve more practical problems, and promote world peace and development.
