Our institution immediately initiated an investigation and confirmed that the police car in question is used for official business of our institution. On the morning of September 18th at 9:34 am, two staff members from our institution set out from the court to deliver legal documents in Huadu District and Panyu District of Guangzhou. As they had other delivery tasks in the afternoon, from 1:31 pm to 3:35 pm, the staff members parked the police car at the Haiyin Yiyicheng parking lot in Panyu and went to the Sam's Club supermarket to buy lunch and personal items. After eating, the staff members, without wearing uniforms, drove the police car out of the parking lot to continue their delivery tasks and returned to the unit on the same day. The use of government vehicles by our staff during official duties to go to the supermarket to purchase personal items constitutes private use of government vehicles, and driving the police car without wearing the appropriate uniform violates the regulations on the use of government vehicles and police cars. In the next steps, our institution will deal with the relevant personnel seriously according to regulations and disciplines. This incident reflects the lax management of government vehicles in our institution and the lack of discipline awareness among some staff members. Going forward, our institution will learn from this lesson, strictly regulate the management of government vehicles and supervise the behavior of staff members when they are out on duty.
