Henan: By 2025, the total size of the digital economy in the province is expected to exceed 2.2 trillion yuan, an increase of over 40% compared to 2020.

Ma Jian, Secretary of the Party Group and Director of the Development and Reform Commission of Henan Province, introduced at a press conference on the 26th that since the beginning of the 14th Five-Year Plan, Henan has comprehensively promoted the coordinated development of digital industrialization and industrial digitization, with the total scale of the digital economy in the province continuously expanding and the overall structure continuously optimized. It is estimated that by 2024, the total scale of the digital economy in the province will exceed 2 trillion yuan, accounting for more than 30% of the GDP, ranking among the top in the central region. By 2025, the total scale of the digital economy in the province is expected to exceed 2.2 trillion yuan, an increase of more than 40% compared to 2020. It is estimated that during the 14th Five-Year Plan period, the annual growth rate of the total scale of the digital economy in the province will exceed 8%, the share of the value added of the core industries of the digital economy in the GDP will cumulatively increase by 2.5 percentage points, and the contribution of the digital economy to GDP growth will exceed 50%.
