The two sides exchanged views candidly, in depth, and constructively on China-US relations and international regional issues of common concern. Ma Chaoxu explained China's principles and stance, pointing out that China and the United States should adhere to mutual respect, peaceful coexistence, and win-win cooperation, implement the important consensus reached by the leaders of the two countries, and promote the stability, health, and sustainable development of China-US relations. Ma Chaoxu emphasized that the Taiwan issue is purely China's internal affair, concerning China's core interests. China urges the United States to effectively adhere to the One China policy, fulfill political commitments with practical actions, and maintain peace and stability in the Taiwan Strait. Both sides agreed to maintain communication and dialogue, effectively manage differences, and expand mutually beneficial cooperation.
