Google asks the Supreme Court to temporarily pause the application store reform order, saying it will harm the Android ecosystem.
On September 26th, it was reported that Google, a subsidiary of Alphabet, has requested the United States Supreme Court to stay a lower court's order that requires it to completely reform its app store policies in the anti-trust lawsuit filed by Epic Games, the developer of "Fortnite". Google stated in a filing to the Supreme Court justices on Wednesday that the order, which is set to take effect on October 22nd, should be stayed during the company's request for Supreme Court review. The filing stated that if the execution is not delayed, the company and its Android ecosystem will suffer "irreparable harm".
