Today, it was learned from the National Market Supervision Administration that the launch ceremony of the 2025 National "Organic Product Certification Promotion Week" held in Yichun, Jiangxi Province, officially announced the release of the new version of the "Organic Product Certification Implementation Rules". These rules will be officially implemented on January 1, 2026, effectively raising the standards for organic product certification. The revision this time is based on issues, goals, and results, with an increased focus on the capabilities required for certification agencies and personnel, detailed technical requirements for certification processes, clear selection and determination principles for prohibited substances testing methods, and stricter post-certification supervision management including unannounced on-site inspections. Certified enterprises in circulation will be subject to random testing at a rate of no less than 10% to ensure continuous compliance with certification requirements. Furthermore, stricter controls and traceability measures will be implemented for sales certificates and organic codes, with sales certificates being uploaded to the China National Certification and Accreditation Administration's "China Food and Agricultural Product Certification Information System" to establish a more rigorous regulatory network. The new version of the "Organic Product Certification Implementation Rules" aims to further enhance the effectiveness and credibility of China's organic product certification system, providing consumers with more guaranteed organic products.
