According to Agence France-Presse, a local consumer protection organization in France has requested a court order to ban the sale of the Nestl-owned sparkling mineral water "Paris water" in France. The reason is that this product is advertised as "natural" but in reality, it has been processed and treated, which could mislead consumers. European law states that natural mineral water cannot undergo any disinfection or treatment that may alter its characteristics. In May of this year, the French Senate investigation committee published a report indicating that Nestl was engaged in consumer fraud. (CCTV)
