China Merchants Steam Navigation: Delivery of 175,000 cubic meters LNG carrier

China Merchants Shipping announcement, the company received a 175,000 cubic meter large liquefied natural gas (LNG) carrier "Haiyun" at Dahej Port on September 24, 2025. This is the first of two similar energy-saving and environmentally friendly LNG carriers ordered by the company in 2022. The ship is in line with the latest international design concepts, equipped with a new LNG dual-fuel low-speed main engine, integrated with an ICER system, and meets the highest emission standards of the International Maritime Organization. The cargo hold adopts the GTT Mark III Flex containment system, with a daily evaporation rate of only 0.085%. This delivery marks a milestone in the development of China Merchants Shipping's LNG transportation business, assisting the stable development of the company's dual-core business. As of the date of the announcement, the company's LNG transportation sector operates 27 vessels and has 37 vessels on order.
