Ministry of Commerce: A total of 485 institutional innovations from pilot free trade zones have been promoted at the national level.

On the 25th, the spokesperson of the Ministry of Commerce, Hua Yadong, expressed during a routine press conference that the Ministry of Commerce actively played a leading role in the inter-agency joint meeting mechanism of the free trade pilot zone. Together with local departments, they timely summarized and sorted out the institutional innovation achievements of the free trade pilot zone in terms of "good trials, accurate observations, and controllable risks", and promoted them to a wider scope through various means. Up to now, a total of 485 institutional innovation achievements of the free trade pilot zone have been promoted at the national level, effectively helping to further deepen reform comprehensively and expand high-level opening up. Hua Yadong introduced that this time, the Ministry of Commerce issued and promoted the sixth batch of "best practice cases" of the free trade pilot zone, totaling 29 cases, mainly involving trade facilitation, free flow of elements, construction of open channels, high-quality development of industries, and transformation of government functions. These cases reflect the new achievements and experiences of innovative exploration with the characteristics of pioneering, integrated and differentiated in the free trade pilot zone, embodying four characteristics: highlighting original and experimental trials, reflecting regional characteristics, focusing on industrial development, and emphasizing coordinated linkage. "In the next step, the Ministry of Commerce will guide localities to learn from and draw lessons from the 'best practice cases' according to their local conditions, and continue to support the free trade pilot zone in strengthening reform exploration, forming more high-quality institutional innovation achievements that are replicable and promotable, and better release the dividends of free trade," said Hua Yadong.
