Wang Baoyu, a member of the Party Committee and Deputy General Manager of the original Jin Coal Group, has been expelled from the Party.

According to the Shanxi Provincial Commission for Discipline Inspection and Supervision, recently, with the approval of the Shanxi Provincial Party Committee, the Shanxi Provincial Commission for Discipline Inspection and Supervision has launched an investigation into the serious violations of discipline and law by Wang Baoyu, former member of the Jinneng Group Party Committee, deputy general manager and former secretary of the Party Committee and chairman of Shanxi Lanyan Holding Co., Ltd. After investigation, it was found that Wang Baoyu had lost his ideals and beliefs, betrayed his original intentions and missions, disregarded the spirit of the Central Committee's eight-point regulations, accepted gifts, cash gifts, and banquet invitations that could affect the fair execution of official duties; he violated organizational principles, did not report personal matters as required, sought benefits for others during job adjustments and accepted goods and money; he failed to maintain the bottom line of integrity, allowed his spouse to use others' funds for stock trading, engaged in unauthorized part-time work after retirement without organizational approval; he used his position for personal gain in project contracting and accepted a substantial amount of money illegally. Wang Baoyu has seriously violated the Party's organizational discipline and integrity discipline, committed serious job-related offenses and is suspected of accepting bribes. Furthermore, after the 18th National Congress of the Communist Party of China, he did not restrain himself and continued his misconduct, with serious nature and severe consequences, therefore he should be severely punished. In accordance with the relevant provisions of the "Regulations on the Discipline of the Communist Party of China," the "Supervision Law of the People's Republic of China," and the "Administrative Sanctions Law for Public Officials of the People's Republic of China," the Shanxi Provincial Commission for Discipline Inspection and Supervision conducted a study during a meeting of the Standing Committee and reported to the Shanxi Provincial Party Committee for approval. It was decided to expel Wang Baoyu from the Party, cancel his entitlements as prescribed, confiscate the proceeds of his violations, and transfer the suspected criminal issues to the procuratorial organs for review and prosecution, along with the related property.
