According to the Zhitong Finance and Economics APP, on September 25th, Hong Kong's Secretary for Labour and Welfare, Law Chi-kwong, stated in response to questions from members of the Legislative Council that the annual average government expenditure on public works projects in the construction industry in Hong Kong over the next five years will increase from HK$90 billion to HK$120 billion. As the economy continues to recover, the amount of private projects will also increase, leading to a continued strong demand for manpower in the construction industry in the coming years.
