After two days of rescue efforts, all 23 miners trapped in a collapsed gold mine in northwestern Colombia were rescued on the 24th without major injuries, although covered in mud. The Colombian National Mining Agency reported on social media platform X on the 24th that after "48 hours of continuous work," rescue teams successfully rescued all the trapped miners. Footage released by the mining agency showed rescuers using ropes to pull the miners out of the mine one by one, with family and friends waiting anxiously at the scene embracing their loved ones as they emerged safely. Local officials said that during the rescue operation, the trapped miners were supplied with food, drinking water, and oxygen through underground pipelines, and maintained contact with their families and rescuers via phone. The mine ventilation system also remained operational.
