TSMC's new 1.4nm fab located in the Central Science Park is expected to start construction in the fourth quarter of 2025. The main contractor is still finalizing the progress. The second phase expansion of the Central Science Park will include four 1.4nm advanced process wafer fabs. The first fab is expected to start trial production in 2027 and enter mass production in the second half of 2028, becoming one of the most advanced processes globally.
