"Cardboard + soil" made into low carbon building materials
Scientists at Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology in Australia have developed an eco-friendly building material called "paperboard-constrained rammed earth", made from only paperboard, water, and soil. This material has a carbon footprint of about one-fourth of concrete, and can be reused and recycled, providing a new path for sustainable development in the construction industry. The related paper has been published in the latest issue of "Structures" magazine.
