New York gold futures fell more than 1.2%, briefly dropping below $3750.
On Wednesday, the closing price of spot gold in New York fell by 0.74% to $3736.27 per ounce. At 21:21 Beijing time, it continued to fluctuate in the range of $3750-3780 before continuing to decline. By 03:27, it hit a daily low of $3717.62, moving away from the historical high of $3791.10 set before Fed Chairman Powell's speech. COMEX gold futures fell by 1.23% to $3768.70 per ounce, remaining in a downtrend throughout the day and dropping to $3749.70 by 03:23, moving away from the intraday historical high of $3824.60 set before Powell's speech. The Philadelphia Gold and Silver Index fell by 3.36% to 282.16 points, continuously declining throughout the day and starting to slow down before 01:00. The NYSE Arca Gold Miners Index fell by 2.30% to 2035.01 points, maintaining a slight downward trend until 21:33 before a significant drop to 2034.55 by 04:07. Spot silver fell by 0.24% to $43.9196 per ounce, while COMEX silver futures fell by 1.11% to $44.115 per ounce. COMEX copper futures rose by 3.80% to $4.8205 per pound, with a significant uptrend at 20:00 and continued high volatility after 22:00. Spot platinum fell by 0.12% to $1475.54 per ounce, while spot palladium fell by 0.79% to $1211.71 per ounce.
