During the Qualcomm Snapdragon Summit on the afternoon of September 24, 2025, Meng Pu, Chairman of Qualcomm China, stated in an interview that China's industrial chain is the most dynamic and competitive in the world for edge AI. The popularization of edge AI in China requires strong terminal manufacturing capabilities and rich application scenarios to drive it. China happens to have both of these points at the same time. "On the one hand, Chinese partners respond very quickly, and a new idea can quickly be implemented in products. On the other hand, Chinese consumers have a high acceptance of new technologies, which has led to a large number of unique application needs." Meng Pu further stated that automobiles are an excellent application scenario for edge AI, as "cars cannot rely on cloud-based AI for security, mobility, and real-time responsiveness."
