On September 24, Cui Dongshu, the Secretary-General of the China Passenger Car Association, stated that looking ahead to the "14th Five-Year Plan" period in the automotive industry, it is optimistically expected that the overall production volume of automobile manufacturers will reach 40 million units. The average annual growth rate in the "14th Five-Year Plan" period is expected to be 3%, with export growth averaging 9% per year. This will achieve sustained strong growth, with domestic demand realizing a slight annual increase of nearly 2%. Cui Dongshu stated that many people do not believe the expectation of China's global automobile sales reaching 40 million units, but he believes that the potential of the international market and the relatively large domestic consumer potential after tapping into domestic demand growth are still significant.
