Bersenets said that the United States is in discussions with Argentina about a currency swap worth $200 billion.

United States Treasury Secretary Scott Benett posted on X, stating: "The Treasury Department is currently in negotiations with Argentine officials on reaching a $200 billion currency swap agreement with the Central Bank of Argentina." He added, "We are working closely with the Argentine government to prevent excessive volatility."
