Qingdao police: A small car lost control and hit pedestrians on the roadside, causing 1 death and 3 injuries. The driver has been subdued.

Qingdao Beinan Public Security Bureau reported that at 10:12 on September 24, a traffic accident occurred on Liaoyang West Road in Beinan District, Qingdao. A small car was traveling from west to east, scraped against the roadside stone and lost control, hitting pedestrians on the side of the road. After receiving the report, the public security organs quickly rushed to the scene to conduct investigation and disposal, and assisted in the first-time rescue of the injured. One person died after ineffective rescue in the hospital. Three injured were hospitalized for treatment, with no life-threatening injuries. After the accident, the driver of the vehicle, Mr. Fan, was immediately controlled by the public security organs on site. According to preliminary investigations, the accident was caused by improper operation of the driver, ruling out drunk driving and drug driving. The accident is currently under further investigation.
