The data released on Wednesday shows that Samsung Electronics' share of the global High Bandwidth Memory (HBM) chip market in the second quarter fell to third place, while American company Micron Technology rose to second place. According to the data from industry tracking firm Counterpoint Research, Samsung Electronics accounted for 17% of the global HBM chip market in the second quarter, lower than Micron's 21%. SK Hynix ranked first with a market share of 62%.
